Chicken Run

“What`s for dinner”?
“Dunno, have a look in the fridge”.
Pause.
“Chicken – big one”.
“Roast it”?
“OK”.
Pause
“Hang on, I`ve got an idea”.
Get chicken, prop chicken, style chicken, photograph chicken.

“When`s dinner ready”?
“When I`m finished with the chicken, that`s when”!
Cook chicken, rephotograph chicken.
The chicken is the star.

Eat chicken. Tidy up. Sit down.
“What`s for dessert”?
“You must be chicken lickin` joking”!

Water Fight

School`s out, the heat`s up and you live opposite a park. So what to do? Water fight – what else!

Summer Colour

I bought a new camera! I know what you`re thinking – photographers and their gadgets and you`d be almost right. Ever since I switched to digital, I`ve used Canon DSLR`s and although they work in every respect, you`d hardly call them discreet. You`re not likely to fit one in your pocket or carry it at all times of the day. With that in mind I went shopping and came home with a Fujifilm x100s, a fantastically small and  high spec compact.

So on Saturday, I wandered out with the camera tucked in my pocket and bumped in a wedding party round the corner from home.

Re-Edit

I know this location has been done to death, not least by me, but hunting though the files, I found a different version of Neist Point in the Isle of Skye from late last year.  I guess the rush to edit sometimes means you miss what`s under your nose. Ho hum, got it out there 9 months later than I should have!

Cars for Cash

Walking the streets of Hackney, I found this old motor in a parking lot. It made me think of The Long Good Friday……………………..only it was a Sunday.

Broken Down

We stumbled on this building in Belfast a couple of days back. A long time empty, it had once been a school but was now open to the elements as the roof was gone. You`d think at this point, there would be a few signs and fences to deter entry but nope, straight in and then pretty quickly out again, as the floor was going the same way as the roof.

Dorset on a Tuesday

There has to be some fringe benefits to being a freelance photographer and this may be the best I can think of. A mid week trip to Dorset for sunrise and sunset.

Brothers

Portraits of the brothers. It`s been a while since I could get them to sit still long enough to get some pictures but warm weather, the promise of a fiver and some donuts bought me five minutes.

North East Coast

With this being February, I was hoping for three foot drifts of snow, stormy mornings and howling winds but it wasn`t to be. Peace and calm with the odd shower reigned. Next time……
